With her beautiful voice her outstanding interpretation of the Yiddish language and her guts to keep Yiddish Music alive Niki Jacobs proves Yiddish music is very much alive. With her show Mameloshn Nikitov brings a variety of beautifully translated pop-songs combined with old and new Yiddish material.

After a wonderful ‘small’ New York tour, Nikitov and Goldenland Connections are now planning a grand tour in the US. Niki Jacobs, singer, recording artist and founder of Nikitov, has been at the cutting edge of Yiddish music for over fifteen years. She has released 4 full-length albums and an EP. Nikitov has played shows all over Europe, including at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and at the Jewish Festivals in Munich, Vienna and Budapest. In June 2015 she performed at New York’s first international festival of Yiddish arts and culture, KulturfestNYC.

Mameloshn is Nikitov’s newest album. Well known for her outstanding interpretations of traditional Yiddish songs, her beautiful voice and for her ability to revive and compose new Yiddish music, Niki Jacobs proves that Yiddish music is still very much alive. Backed by the powerhouse acoustic band she’s been working with for years, Niki sings her favorite pop-hits in Yiddish.
The sophisticated European jazz/pop arrangements and musicianship of the Dutch band Nikitov are balanced by their loving embrace by the lead singer, Niki Jacobs, of her Yiddish roots. The result is a hip, sexy, heartfelt yet unsentimental sound that integrates the mellifluousness of the Yiddish language with the contemporary artistry of this wonderful ensemble. Performing in Dutch, Yiddish, English and German, Niki’s voice and performance style are pure and loving. Nikitov is comprised of double bass, trumpet, violin, cello and, of course, Niki’s moving voice.

Nikitov will be available in 2018 and 20179 for performances across America and Canada.
